Glass hearths offer a sleek, contemporary alternative to traditional stone or tile, particularly for a freestanding wood-burning stoves. The hearths are made from 12mm thick toughened safety glass, they are designed to protect combustible flooring like wood or laminate from stray embers and heat without obscuring the floor's natural beauty. These hearths come in many shapes, including teardrop, semi-circle, and rectangular designs, and are available in clear, smoked, or black finishes to match modern decors. They are suitable for most but not all stoves (some stoves with no legs thus a very low fire bed are not suitable). Beyond their minimalist aesthetic, glass hearths are often a more affordable option compared to bespoke granite or slate slabs.
